Enhance your professional brand: resume, LinkedIn, and cover letter
Your résumé and LinkedIn profile are two of the most important marketing tools you’ll need as you embark on a job search. But we often sell ourselves short in how we present ourselves on paper or online because we aren’t sure exactly how to represent all the solid, transferrable work we’ve done.
I take the angst out of writing resume and LinkedIn narratives by setting up a high-impact, low effort 90-minute Brand Narrative Intake session. In this session, I use my expertise to draw out transferrable skills, accomplishments, and words to authentically and effectively describe who you are as a professional. Many clients have even shared their pleasant surprise at how much they actually enjoy our Brand Narrative Intake session! From there, I do the heavy lifting and use the information from our session and other resources to clearly articulate your professional brand for the specific role(s) you’re targeting.
Let’s get you past that online “black hole” of the applicant tracking system and have you talking with hiring managers about the value you can add to their organization.
Prepare for interviews
Interviews can be tough! Let's work together to make sure you’re prepared, confident, and know how to effectively represent yourself during what can be a nerve-racking process. I know what makes an interview succeed, and in our interview preparation I will help you by:
1) Assessing your interview strengths and learning about the biggest concerns/areas of focus for your upcoming interview.
2) Providing strategic and practical resources/tips for preparation, including:
- Crafting engaging SMART stories
- Creating polished and engaging closing statements
- Articulating your professional value
- Answering questions 'on the fly'
- What questions to ask the interviewer
- Strategies for staying calm and focused
3) Polishing your responses through a practice interview (either in-person or video) where you’ll get real-time, constructive feedback on changes you can make to be seen as a strong candidate for your target role. We’ll focus on:
- Improving answers
- Highlighting transferable skills/measurable outcomes
- Effectively addressing position requirements
